The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of Nepal’s most popular trekking adventures, ideal for travelers drawn to spectacular mountains and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes. Along with stunning mountain views, the trek offers rich cultural experiences in traditional Gurung and Magar communities. Located in north-central Nepal, the Annapurna region is home to an impressive range of Himalayan peaks, including Annapurna I (8,091 m), the world’s tenth-highest mountain. Other prominent peaks include Annapurna South, Machapuchare (Fishtail) (6,993 m), and Hiunchuli (6,441 m), providing spectacular mountain views throughout the trek.

The journey passes through diverse landscapes, from terraced farmland and dense rhododendron forests to alpine meadows and dramatic mountain valleys. The trail traditionally begins around Nayapul and continues through picturesque Gurung villages such as Landruk and Chhomrong, following the Modi Khola valley toward Annapurna Base Camp. Along the way, enjoy magnificent views of Hiunchuli, Machapuchare, Annapurna South, and surrounding peaks. A highlight of the trek is a relaxing soak in the natural hot springs at Jhinu Danda, a wonderful way to unwind after a day of hiking.

Reaching Annapurna Base Camp is the main highlight of the journey, surrounded by an impressive amphitheater of snow-capped peaks. After enjoying the spectacular mountain scenery, descend through the valley and return toward Pokhara. Take time to relax beside the peaceful lakeside, explore the city, and reflect on your Himalayan adventure before returning to Kathmandu. Your journey can end with sightseeing around Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, souvenir shopping, and a final taste of Nepalese culture.

Trip Highlights

The region is rich in natural beauty, showcasing lush greenery, forests, terraced hills, beautiful waterfalls, and rivers.
It is considered the second most beautiful and cleanest city, featuring Phewa Lake with the majestic Himalayas in the background.
Visitors can enjoy stunning views of Annapurna I, II, III, and IV, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, Dhaulagiri, and other surrounding peaks.
The area is adorned with moss-covered rhododendrons and blue pine forests, offering more than two dozen mountain vistas.
The sunrise views from Poon Hill are particularly breathtaking, providing one of the best vantage points on the entire trek.
A Tibetan Chorten, a symbol of peace and positivity, highlights the local traditions and culture.
The settlements of the Gurung and Magar people reflect a strong Tibetan cultural heritage.
This region is also home to the base camp of the world’s 10th-highest mountain, surrounded by a stunning array of peaks.
Additionally, there is a natural hot spring pond located along the bank of the Modi River.
Visitors can also take a day tour to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu.

Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel (1,365m) 20 Min Drive to Hotel.

As we received your flight schedule, our airport representative will be waiting on time at the (TIA) Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu for your arrival. We will drop you off at your Hotel in a private vehicle, and you will stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02:Kathmandu city tour and further tour planning (1,365m) 5 hours tour.

After breakfast, we begin our sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, visiting four remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Our tour includes the historically and architecturally rich Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the fascinating “Monkey Temple” (Swayambhunath), and the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world.

We will also explore the local markets and experience the vibrant atmosphere of Kathmandu. After our late-afternoon sightseeing, we return to the hotel for a brief trek preparation meeting. This will be an opportunity to meet your trekking team and get acquainted with your guide and porters.

You will then have some free time to explore the lively streets of Thamel or purchase any last-minute trekking gear and essentials you may need. Overnight at your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03:Early morning Drive (210km) to Pokhara (820m) 7 hours drive.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we begin our scenic drive to Pokhara. The journey follows the picturesque Trishuli and Marsyangdi Rivers, offering breathtaking views throughout the route. As we travel alongside these beautiful rivers, which are also popular for white-water rafting, we enjoy magnificent views of Ganesh Himal and the Manaslu range.

After approximately six hours of driving, we arrive in Pokhara, the City of Lakes. Pokhara is a traveler's paradise, renowned for its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. The city is home to serene lakes, mysterious caves, sacred temples, and stunning Himalayan scenery, making it one of Nepal's most popular destinations.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this beautiful lakeside city. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04:Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (45km) and Trek to tikhedunga(1540m) 4 hours walk.

After breakfast at the inn, we drive to Nayapul, which takes approximately one and a half hours. From Nayapul, we begin our trek to Tikhedhunga (1,577 m) via Birethanti (1,065 m). The trail is relatively easy, passing through charming villages, small settlements, and scenic countryside. We gradually ascend along the trail before reaching Tikhedhunga, our destination for the day. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 05:Trek from Tikhedhungga to Ghorepani ( 2,860m) 7 hours walk.

After a hot breakfast at the lodge, we begin our trek with a steep ascent for about two hours before continuing on a more gradual trail. We pass through the beautiful villages of Ulleri (2,070 m) and Banthanti, enjoying spectacular views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail, 6,997 m), Hiunchuli (6,441 m), and Annapurna South (7,219 m) along the way.

The trail then winds through peaceful rhododendron and lush forest, accompanied by birdsong and refreshing mountain scenery. We gradually ascend to Ghorepani, our destination for the day. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 06:Morning hike to Poonhill view point (3,210 m) and trek to Tadapani ( 2,630m) 7 hours walk.

We will hike to Poonhill, which has always been an image of magnificence for the Annapurna area; then we will return down to Ghorepani and have a hot breakfast at our cabin, and trek to Tadapani (2650m). Most of the trail we trek is through sprouting rhododendron woods; the excellent blossoms make the wilderness vivid in spring when they blossom. Overnight at the Guesthouse.

Day 07:Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrong (2,170 m) 6 hours walk.

In the wake of eating at a hole-in-the-wall, we begin the trek and make the most of our climb by dropping tenderly through rhododendron, oak, and different sorts of thick timberland along the trail. We hear the peeping of various types of birds while in transit to Kimrung Khola. We then straightaway rise steeply and stroll at a level for 45 minutes with delicate soak ways in the middle of and level the distance to Chomrong, which is the passage to Annapurna Base Camp. Register with the Lodge and overnight at a hotel.

Day 08:Trek from Chhomrong to Himalaya (2,920 m) 6-7 hours walk.

After breakfast at the lodge, we begin our trek by descending a stone staircase for about half an hour before crossing the Chhomrong Khola on a suspension bridge. We then follow the trail along the Modi Khola, passing through beautiful forests of bamboo, rhododendron, and oak.

The trail continues through lush woodland to Sinuwa (2,350 m), where we gradually ascend and descend along a scenic forest path. We then follow a steep stone staircase through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests to reach Bamboo. From here, the trail continues gently uphill toward Dovan and Himalaya. Overnight at a lodge in Himalaya.

Day 09:Trek from Himalaya to Annapurna Base Camp(4,130 m) 6 hours walk.

After breakfast at the lodge, we begin our trek toward Annapurna Base Camp. The valley gradually widens and becomes less steep, offering our first views of the entrance to the Annapurna Sanctuary. The trail continues along a narrow path, crossing a couple of landslide sections before reaching Bagar (3,310 m), a scenic grassy meadow with a few abandoned lodges.

From Bagar, the trail follows the left side of the valley and gradually ascends toward Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,820 m). This is one of the most scenic sections of the trek, with breathtaking views of Hiunchuli (6,441 m), Annapurna South (7,229 m), Annapurna I (8,091 m), Annapurna III (7,555 m), Gangapurna (7,454 m), and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail, 6,997 m).

The trail continues through alpine meadows before gradually climbing toward our final destination, Annapurna Base Camp (4,170 m). Reaching the base camp is a memorable highlight of the journey, surrounded by magnificent Himalayan peaks. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 10:Trek back from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,310 m) 7 hours walk.

After breakfast, we begin our descent from Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp. The trail is easier as we descend, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes from a different perspective.

Our guides will encourage you to capture photographs along the way, as the scenery can look remarkably different on the return journey. We continue downhill through the lush forests and reach Bamboo, where we check into our guesthouse for an overnight stay.

Day 11:Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu danda hot spring,(1,780 m) 5 hours walk.

After breakfast at the lodge, we begin our trek toward Jhinu Danda. The trail descends through beautiful forests filled with rhododendron, oak, and bamboo. After the bamboo, we ascend steeply for about an hour before following a relatively level trail toward Sinuwa.

We then gradually descend to the Chhomrong Khola and climb a stone staircase for about an hour to reach Chhomrong Village. From Chhomrong, the trail descends steeply to Jhinu Danda. After checking into our guesthouse, we can relax and enjoy the natural hot springs, a perfect way to soothe tired muscles after the trek. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 12:Trek from Jhinudanda to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara (820m) 6 hours walk.

After breakfast at the guesthouse in Jhinu Danda, we begin our final day of trekking. The trail initially descends gently before becoming relatively flat as we follow the riverbank toward Birethanti. We stop at Birethanti for lunch and then continue walking for about 30 minutes to Nayapul.

At Nayapul, our vehicle will be waiting to drive us back to Pokhara, the beautiful City of Lakes, known for its natural scenery and tranquil atmosphere. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 13:Drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,365 m) 7 hours Drive.

You will have an early breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara. Our tourist standard bus will depart at 7:00 AM for Kathmandu. The drive will be a wonderful experience as we pass through several satellite towns and enjoy views of rural settlements, flowing rivers, terraced fields, and beautiful green countryside. After approximately 7 hours of driving, we will arrive in Kathmandu and check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 14:Final Departure from Kathmandu(1,365 m) 20 Min Drive to Airport.

According to your flight departure schedule and in accordance with airline regulations, you are required to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your departure. Accordingly, we will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for your final departure.

A farewell dinner in Kathmandu at a traditional Nepali cultural restaurant after finishing the tour.
