It is a high altitude Himalayan Buddhists celebration. It is celebrated between October and November. The dates of 2019 Mani Rimdu are scheduled for November 12th to 14th. The Lama of the monastery announces the date of the occasion according to the Tibetan Lunar Calendar.
The first day of the festival is the Wang Blessing Ceremony. Dances, music, and prayers are constantly around the monastery.
