The Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most popular and spectacular trekking adventures, offering an incredible journey through diverse landscapes, traditional mountain villages, and the magnificent Annapurna Himalayas. The trek provides breathtaking views of two of the world’s highest mountains, Annapurna I (8,091 m) and Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), along with numerous other spectacular Himalayan peaks.

The journey begins in the Lamjung region and gradually ascends through lush valleys and traditional villages toward the high-altitude Manang Valley. Along the way, we pass through charming settlements such as Dharapani and Chame, experiencing the unique culture and warm hospitality of local communities. The changing landscape, from green hills and forests to rugged alpine terrain, makes every section of the trek remarkable.

One of the major highlights of the trek is crossing Thorong La Pass (5,416 m), the highest point of the journey. From the pass, we descend toward the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath, an important destination for both Hindus and Buddhists. The name “Muktinath” means “place of liberation,” and pilgrims have visited this holy site for centuries seeking spiritual blessings and liberation.

The trek then continues through the Jomsom and Mustang regions, following the dramatic Kali Gandaki Valley, renowned for its deep gorge between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The route also provides magnificent views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu, Pisang Peak, Chulu East, Chulu West, and the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

The Annapurna Circuit is also a wonderful cultural journey. The trail passes through communities including the Gurung, Magar, and Thakali, allowing trekkers to experience their traditional lifestyles, customs, architecture, and local hospitality while traveling through the diverse regions of Manang, Jomsom, and Muktinath.

From Muktinath, the journey continues by jeep or bus toward Tatopani, as several sections of the original trekking trail have been developed into roads. In Tatopani, trekkers can relax in the natural hot springs before continuing toward Poon Hill, famous for its spectacular sunrise and panoramic mountain views.

Finally, the journey concludes in Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city renowned for Phewa Lake and its stunning Himalayan surroundings. Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel (1,365 m) 20 min Drive to hotel.

As we received your flight schedule, our airport representative will be waiting on time at the (TIA) Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu for your arrival. We will drop you off at your Hotel in a private vehicle, and you will stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02:Kathmandu city tour and further tour planning (1,365 m) 5 hours tour.

After breakfast, we begin our sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, visiting four remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Our tour includes the historically and architecturally rich Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the fascinating “Monkey Temple” (Swayambhunath), and the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world.

We will also explore the local markets and experience the vibrant atmosphere of Kathmandu. After our late-afternoon sightseeing, we return to the hotel for a brief meeting to prepare for the trek. This will be an opportunity to meet your trekking team and get acquainted with your guide and porters.

You will then have some free time to explore the lively streets of Thamel or purchase any last-minute trekking gear and essentials you may need. Overnight at your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03:Drive from Kathmandu to Nadi Bazar (930 m) 8 hours drive.

After an early breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu, our trekking guide will pick you up in the morning and begin the scenic drive toward Nadi Bazar. We travel along the Kathmandu–Pokhara Highway to Dumre, then continue on a narrower, paved road following the Marsyangdi River toward Besisahar and onward to Nadi Bazar. The journey offers a wonderful opportunity to experience Nepal’s countryside, local communities, and the authentic atmosphere of traveling by local bus. Upon arrival, we check into the hotel, relax, and enjoy the evening. Overnight at the hotel in Nadi Bazar.

Day 04:Trek from Nadi Bazar to chamje (1,430 m) 6 hours walk.

After breakfast at the lodge, we begin our trek toward Chamje, which takes approximately 6 hours. The trail initially follows a relatively gentle and level section before gradually climbing along a narrow path carved into the steep cliffside, approximately 200–300 meters above the Marsyangdi River.

The trail then descends to the historic stone village of Jagat (1,330 m), beautifully situated on a rocky terrace overlooking the dramatic Marsyangdi Valley. From Jagat, the route continues with a series of gentle ups and downs through lush forests and along the river valley before reaching Chamje.

Upon arrival, we check into a local guesthouse and have time to relax and explore the surrounding village. Overnight at a guesthouse in Chamje.

Day 05:Trek from Chamje to Dharapani ( 1,860m) 6 hours walk.

After breakfast at the guesthouse, we begin our trek by descending to the river and crossing another suspension bridge. From there, the trail climbs steeply toward Sattale (1,550 m), following a narrow and dramatic hillside path with impressive views of the valley below.

We continue along an undulating trail above the river. At one point, a tributary joins the main river, which flows beneath huge boulders that cover sections of the waterway. The trail then winds uphill through the forest before reaching a ridge overlooking the broad, flat valley of Tal (1,700 m).

Beyond Tal, the valley becomes narrower, and the trail follows a steep, winding route, with some sections carved directly into the rocky mountainside. We pass through the small village of Karte (1,900 m) and continue along dramatic cliffside sections before descending toward the river once again.

After crossing another suspension bridge, we reach Dharapani, a charming mountain village and an important stop along the Annapurna Circuit. We check into our guesthouse and relax after the day’s trek. Overnight at a guesthouse in Dharapani.

Day 06:Trek from Dharapani to Chame Headquarter of district (2,670 m) 6 hours walk.

After an early breakfast at the guesthouse, we begin our trek toward Chame, the administrative center of the Manang District. The trail initially passes through a narrow valley and follows the Dudh Khola, which originates from the southern slopes of the Manaslu region. As the trail continues, the Marsyangdi River bends toward the west, revealing impressive views of Annapurna II ahead.

We soon reach Bagarchhap, a traditional Bhote village known for its Tibetan-influenced culture, prayer flags, and Buddhist monastery. From Bagarchhap, the trail continues through beautiful forests of pine and oak, passing through Danaque (2,210 m).

We then cross a small wooden bridge and follow a steep uphill trail toward Timang, situated at the foot of Lamjung Himal. From Timang, the trail becomes more gradual as it passes through scenic mountain landscapes and forests before continuing toward Chame.

Upon arrival in Chame, we check into our guesthouse and have time to relax and explore the village. Overnight at a guesthouse in Chame.

Day 07:Trek from Chame to lower Pisang (3,200 m) 6 hours walk.

After breakfast at the guesthouse, we begin our trek from Chame toward Pisang, enjoying spectacular morning views of Lamjung Himal (6,893 m) as the first rays of sunlight illuminate the surrounding peaks. As we follow the trail higher into the valley, Lamjung Himal gradually disappears from view.

The trail passes through a large apple orchard before continuing through beautiful forests of fir and pine. As we gain elevation, the landscape becomes more rugged and rocky, while the valley narrows and the opposite slopes rise steeply above the Marsyangdi River. We continue toward Bratang (2,950 m), where the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic.

Beyond Bratang, a short climb leads through a rocky area to a wooden bridge. We cross the bridge and follow a steep, winding trail before crossing back to the right bank of the river. The route then passes through a peaceful pine forest. As the forest gradually ends, the valley changes from a narrow V-shape into a wider U-shaped valley, revealing magnificent mountain landscapes.

Continuing along the trail, we pass a long mani wall near a bridge before reaching the lower village of Pisang. After arriving, we check into the guesthouse and relax while enjoying the beautiful Himalayan surroundings. Overnight at a guesthouse in Pisang.

Day 08:Trek from lower Pisang to Manang (3,540 m) 5 hours walk.

After breakfast at the guesthouse, we begin our trek toward Manang, following a scenic trail that climbs to a ridge offering magnificent views of the Manang Valley and Tilicho Peak (7,145 m). We continue toward Humde (3,320 m), passing by the former airstrip and enjoying spectacular mountain scenery along the way.

Beyond Humde, the trail enters a broad, open landscape where the impressive north face of Annapurna III rises dramatically above the valley. As we cross the wide plains of the Sabje Khola Valley, Annapurna IV (7,525 m) also comes into view.

We then cross the significantly reduced Marsyangdi River over a wooden bridge and reach the small village of Mungji. The landscape gradually changes as cultivated fields appear on both sides of the trail. Below the rocky mountain slopes, we can see the traditional village of Braga, famous for its ancient monastery, large chortens, and numerous mani walls.

As we continue, magnificent Himalayan peaks unfold across the horizon. After a short but steep climb, we finally reach Manang, a beautiful high-altitude settlement surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.

Day 09:Acclimatization Day in Manang climb to Hundred Gomba (3,540m) 4 hours walk.

Today is a well-deserved rest and acclimatization day in Manang, giving our bodies time to recover and allowing our lungs to adjust gradually to the increasing altitude before crossing Thorong La Pass (5,416 m). Rather than remaining completely inactive, we take short and easy walks around the village to help our bodies adapt to the thin mountain air.

There are several optional activities and short hikes to enjoy today. We can cross the river to see the impressive icefall descending from the Annapurna range or climb to a higher viewpoint for panoramic views of the Annapurna range and Manang Valley. A visit to the Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) aid post is also an interesting and educational experience, providing useful information about high-altitude health and acclimatization.

For those who wish to explore further, we can visit Gangapurna Glacier Lake and nearby local cultural sites. After enjoying the spectacular mountain scenery, we return to Manang and spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the challenging days ahead. Overnight at a guesthouse in Manang.

Day 10:Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka ( 4,050 m) 5 hours walk.

After breakfast at the guesthouse, we begin our trek toward Yak Kharka. The trail gradually ascends through the high-altitude landscape, passing through the small village of Gunsang (3,960 m). Along the way, we enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding Annapurna mountains and the beautiful Manang Valley.

Although today’s trekking distance is relatively short, the increasing altitude and thinner air make the journey more challenging. We walk at a comfortable pace, allowing our bodies to adjust gradually to the higher elevation. After reaching Yak Kharka, we check into a local guesthouse and spend the evening resting and preparing for the next stage of our journey toward Thorong La Pass.

Day 11:Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorung Phedi ( 4,450 m) 5 hours walk.

After breakfast at the guesthouse, we begin our trek toward Thorong Phedi, the last major stopping point before crossing the challenging Thorong La Pass (5,416 m). The trail initially climbs steadily to a ridge before descending toward the headwaters of the Marsyangdi River.

We then cross the river via a secure wooden bridge and continue with a short but steady ascent along the mountain trail on the right bank. The route follows a narrow path across a steep scree slope, requiring careful walking as we gradually gain elevation.

After crossing this rugged section, the trail descends slightly before reaching Thorong Phedi, a small settlement situated beneath the Thorong La Pass. Upon arrival, we check into the guesthouse, rest, and prepare for the early start and challenging pass crossing the following day.

Day 12:Trek from Thorung Phedi to Muktinath( 3,760 m) via Thorung La Pass(5,416 m) 8 hours walk.

As we ascend steadily, the trail gradually becomes more manageable. After approximately four hours of continuous climbing, we reach the top of Thorong La Pass, marked by a chorten and colorful prayer flags. From the pass, we are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains, the upper Kali Gandaki Valley, and the distinctive brown and purple landscapes of Mustang.

From Thorong La, we begin a long descent of approximately 1,600 meters toward Muktinath. Although the descent is steep in places, the magnificent views of Dhaulagiri and the changing landscape make the journey rewarding. The rugged moraines gradually give way to green hills and more gentle terrain.

We then follow the beautiful Jhong Khola Valley toward Muktinath, one of Nepal’s most important pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Buddhists. Upon arrival, we can explore the sacred temples and surrounding shrines before resting at the guesthouse.

Day 13:Trek from Muktinath to Kagbeni (2,800 m) 5 hours walk.

In the early morning, we visit the sacred Muktinath Temple, an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. After exploring the temple and surrounding shrines, we return to the hotel for breakfast before beginning our trek toward Kagbeni.

The trail descends through the dramatic Kali Gandaki Valley, passing through a striking landscape that resembles the dry, high-altitude terrain and climate of the Tibetan Plateau. Along the way, we pass through the traditional villages of Jharkot and Khingar, known for their distinctive Tibetan-style architecture, ancient houses, and cultural heritage.

From Khingar, the trail descends steeply toward Kagbeni, a historic village located at the confluence of the Kali Gandaki and Jhong rivers. Known for its narrow lanes, traditional mud-brick houses, Tibetan-influenced architecture, and ancient Buddhist monastery, Kagbeni is also the traditional gateway to Upper Mustang.

Upon arrival, we check into a local guesthouse and have time to explore this fascinating medieval-style village and its surroundings. Overnight at a guesthouse in Kagbeni.

Day 14:Trek from Kagbeni to Marpha(2,670 m) 6 hours walk.

After breakfast at the guesthouse, we begin our trek toward Marpha, following a relatively level trail along the banks of the spectacular Kali Gandaki River. The route passes through a dry, windswept landscape with a high-altitude environment reminiscent of the Tibetan Plateau.

We continue through the dramatic Kali Gandaki Gorge, enjoying views of the surrounding mountains and traditional villages along the way. We reach Jomsom, the administrative center of Mustang, where we stop for lunch and take some time to rest.

After lunch, we continue trekking toward Marpha, a beautiful traditional Thakali village renowned for its clean stone-paved streets, whitewashed houses, Buddhist monasteries, and rich local culture. Marpha is also famous for its apple orchards and locally produced apple products, which are popular among both local residents and visitors.

After exploring the charming village and enjoying its peaceful mountain atmosphere, we check into a local guesthouse and relax. Overnight at a guesthouse in Marpha.

Day 15:Trek from Marpha to Ghasa (2,010 m) 7 hours walk.

After breakfast at the guesthouse, we begin our trek toward Ghasa. The trail initially follows a relatively gentle route through the beautiful mountain landscape toward Kalopani. As we continue south, the trail gradually begins to descend more steeply toward Ghasa.

The first section of the trek passes through peaceful forests of pine, rhododendron, and birch, with the changing vegetation reflecting the gradual decrease in altitude. The trail offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the dramatic Kali Gandaki Valley.

As we approach Ghasa, the landscape becomes greener and more lush. Ghasa is traditionally known as the southernmost Thakali settlement and marks an important transition from the high-altitude Mustang region toward the lower Himalayan foothills. The area is also well known for its rich birdlife and diverse natural environment.

After reaching Ghasa, we check into a local guesthouse and relax after the day’s trek. Overnight at a guesthouse in Ghasa.

Day 16:Trek from Ghasa to Tatopani (1,190 m) 7 hours walk.

After breakfast at the guesthouse, we begin our trek toward Tatopani. The trail initially descends through the beautiful Kali Gandaki Valley before reaching Rupse Chhahara (Rupse Waterfall), one of the most impressive natural attractions along the route. The spectacular waterfall cascades down the rocky cliffs and provides a wonderful place to pause and enjoy the scenery.

The trail continues through the dramatic Kali Gandaki Gorge, surrounded by the towering Annapurna I (8,091 m) to the east and Dhaulagiri I (8,167 m) to the west. This remarkable landscape is renowned for its extreme depth and dramatic contrast between the two massive mountain ranges.

From Rupse Waterfall, the trail gradually climbs through several traditional settlements and lush landscapes before reaching Tatopani, whose name means “hot water” in Nepali. After checking into the guesthouse, we have time to relax and enjoy a rejuvenating bath in the natural hot springs, a perfect way to soothe tired muscles after several days of trekking.

Day 17:Drive from Tatopani to pokhara (820 m) 7 hours drive.

After breakfast, we leave Tatopani by local bus or private jeep and drive toward Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city in central Nepal. The journey takes approximately 8–9 hours, following the scenic Kali Gandaki River Valley and passing through Beni Bazaar along the way.

During the drive, we make convenient stops for snacks, refreshments, and toilet breaks. The changing landscapes, traditional villages, terraced hillsides, and river scenery make the journey an interesting part of the adventure.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, we check into our hotel and have time to relax after the long drive. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 20:Drive from Pokhara to Kathamndu(1,365m) 7 hours drive.

After breakfast, we take a tourist bus at around 7:00 AM for the scenic drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. The journey takes approximately 6–7 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions.

Along the way, we pass through numerous towns and traditional settlements while enjoying views of rivers, terraced hillsides, lush landscapes, and rural communities. The drive offers a wonderful glimpse into Nepal’s countryside and everyday life.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we transfer to our hotel and have time to relax after the journey. This marks the end of our memorable Annapurna Circuit Trek.

Day 21:Final Departure from Kathmandu(1,365 m) 20 Minutes Drive to (TIA) Airport.

According to your flight departure schedule, and as airlines require passengers to arrive at least three hours before departure, we will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for your final departure.

What an amazing experience with the mountain miracle and the team of Bishnu.
